The GR8 Hope Foundation Will Proudly Support Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus
Expansion of the David and Mary Wolff Emergency Center
Emergency Center Expansion- West Campus
The expansion of the David and Mary Wolff Emergency Center at Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus is critical to providing the best care to patients and families in our community. The emergency center is a 12-bed unit, staffed at all times by board-certified pediatric emergency medicine physicians, dedicated pediatric emergency medicine nurses and staff—all trained to provide emergent care for illnesses and injuries in children less than 18 years of age. The emergency center can also provide initial stabilization for severely injured patients.
The Gift of GR8 Hope
With your help, we would like to add 12 more beds to make it a 24-bed facility.
In fiscal year 2012, the David and Mary Wolff Emergency Center recorded more than 30,000 visits. We are appropriately staffed for this volume of patients, but patient families must often wait for an exam room while patients already in exam rooms are transferred to inpatient rooms or sent for X-rays or diagnostic tests. With 12 additional exam rooms, patient wait times can be significantly reduced.
Special Recognition- We Appreciate YOU GR8-LY!
Texas Children’s would be honored to recognize donors of the GR8 HopeFoundation of $5,000 to $24,999 with a “GR8 Hope Donor Brick”. These bricks will be added to our donor brick collection in front of West Campus. Donors of $25,000 or more will be honored with a plaque displayed in Emergency Center expansion area. We are happy to acknowledge the companies and individuals who give to GR8 Hope and are very grateful for your generous support of Texas Children’s Hospital.
